Dark Night


I just want to disappear in the blackness of the night.
Let the darkness of it cradle me in it's shadowy arms,
Consuming me, concealing me from the harsh light 
Encasing me in its cold embrace
Like a blanket, giving shelter
Numbing my senses, 
Fending off my sorrows,
Protecting me from myself.
Clutching this haven
I'm holding on too tight.
Afraid to lose control
I lost myself in time.
Can't remember when the lines started to blur 
I gave up all hope
Losing all my will to fight.
